Help Us Cover Brooke’s Medical Costs – Our Beloved Barn Cat Needs Your Support

If you’ve ever met Brooke, you know she’s not just another barn cat. Though she’s part of our feral crew, she’s just as loved and cared for as our indoor cats. Recently, we noticed something was wrong—Brooke kept squatting as if she needed to urinate, but little to nothing was coming out. Concerned, we took her to the vet, hoping for a simple solution.

After extensive testing—including a urinalysis, X-rays, a urine culture, and bloodwork—we learned that Brooke has Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC). This is a painful and often recurring condition where stress and other factors cause bladder inflammation, making it difficult for her to urinate. While no infection or bladder stones were found, her urine pH was off, and crystals were present, meaning she’ll need ongoing dietary adjustments to stay healthy.

Thanks to these tests, we now know how to support Brooke moving forward: She’ll need a steady diet of wet food with extra water to help prevent future flare-ups.

Brooke’s veterinary care cost us $402, and while we don’t regret a single penny spent to help her, we could use some support in covering these unexpected expenses. If you’re able to contribute—whether it’s $5 or more—it would mean the world to us and Brooke.

We believe every cat, whether feral or indoor, deserves love, care, and a chance at a healthy life. If you can help, please consider donating to Brooke’s medical fund. Every dollar brings us closer to covering her care and ensuring she stays comfortable and happy.

Thank you for being part of Brooke’s story! ❤️
